Today was hand in day at uni so now I have 4 weeks off which means 4 weeks of lookbooking and blogging and shopping and fun, basically. I am excited!

Today I'm wearing a jumper and blouse from a charity shop, my purple velvet leggings from primark (again aha) and my new creepers from ebay! I was also wearing my new lonsdale jacket thing but I wasn't really sure it went but ah well, I bought it on my birthday from a charity shop ^_^

Hello everyone today is my birthday and I am 19 and I know I look like a twelve year old it is very confusing indeed. Anyway, today I went shopping with beth :-D and my mom and grandma, and i bought lots of new stuff which includes this scarf/ shirt that im wearing woo. I'm also wearing some shorts which were trousers that I DIYed and a leather jacket from a charity shop. The necklace is from a car boot sale and my tights and socks are from primark and creepers are from ebay. I've ordered some new creepers!! They're fluffy leopard print, lets just hope they arrive :3 I am now going to watch Another and then re-watch the first series of Beyblade.

Also is anyone else freaking out because bleach is ending in 4 episodes?! supposedly...

I am wearing a hat from Select, which I bought when it started snowing last year and I realized I didn't have a hat with me. The denim jacket, bow tie, dr martens and pearl embroidered denim shirt are all from charity shops, and velvet leggings and socks from primark.

Its supposed to be snowing here right now but its not. I want more snow!!! Someone make it snow :-( I have also discovered that I like chicken noodle soup a lot although not as much as chicken and vegetable soup.. and vegetable chowder sucks.

I love taking photos in the snow, they look so much better than normal outside photos which I can't seem to do very well.. I know its because snow reflects light but ugh it just looks so much better.. in my opinion.

I have become obsessed with cup soups. Until a a few days ago I had never tried soup but seeing as everyone in London now considers it the food of the moment, especially if you get it from EAT or Pret (how can anyone afford to buy their lunch at EAT or Pret?!?!) I thought I'd try it and now I'm obsessed. I've only tried chicken and vegetable so far but tomorrow I'm going to go to Sainsburys and buy about 10 boxes of everything that appeals to me.

The shirt, waistcoat, headscarf and dr martens are from a charity shop and the belt was my grandmas. The leggings were from cow vintage and they were only £3 yay!

PANDA BAG

I was walking around Camden and came across this cute panda rucksack in one of the markets and I had to get it because it was only £6! Me and my friend Jo have named it 'Princess barry the panda bag of sugarbum forest' We think that it is a very fitting name for him! I originally went to Camden to get some Creepers however they were all £90 so I tried to play my take-pity-I'm-an-impovrished-student card but it didn't work and I didn't end up getting any :'( but I did get the super nice pink blouse that I am wearing that has the really cool collar from Rokit! It was in the sale and it was only £3!

In the picture I was supposed to be wearing one of my necklaces but it kinda slid to the wrong side of my neck whilst I was taking photos and I never noticed but oh well.. Its there I swear.

Hello fair people of the blogging world! Today I bring you photographs of these fabulous primark leggings, which no doubt everyone already has but frankly I care not, as they are, simply, amazing. You can probably tell by my tragic attempt of trying to be Jane Austen that I like these leggings a lot! Or you think I'm just weird... Anyway... As I said, the leggings are from primark (there were some really cool black and white ones too with a different but equally cool pattern but they didn't have my size) The jacket, shirt, bow tie and headscarf are from charity shops. My socks and creepers are from ebay.

I keep thinking there's something I was going to write in this post and now I can't remember what it was. Oh yes! I remember! I was thinking of doing a kind of a affiliation with other blogs by putting links to other peoples blogs in my sidebar and in return those blogs would do the same for me? I used to do it all the time on my Harry Potter Forum ^_^ Anyone interested?

I found these shoes months ago in a charity shop and I thought, I know I will put studs on them! Which I then discovered is extremely difficult and gave up. Note the lonely stud on the shoe above the sole. So now one has studs on and the other doesn't, but oh well, I guess its kinda cool that they don't match. I've never properly worn them before and I'd wear them more often but I'm scared of falling down the stairs in them :/ Along with all other high heel related shoes. Minus creepers. Not that they're particularly high. Ok anyway, I got the skirt last year in the sales in Topshop, the tights are from primark and shirt and cardigan are also from a charity shop.

DIY DR MARTENS - NEWSPAPER

The glitter finally fell off my dr martens so I decided to peel it all off and re do them in newspaper! Then I thought that the newspaper looked a bit boring so I attacked them with some paint! If you want to see the glitter dr martens then click here :-) I think I prefer the glitter docs but the glitter kept getting everywhere which is ok if you want to live in glitter land but sometimes I don't want to live in glitter land..

This zigzag shirt is my new favorite shirt! Its from a charity shop and so is the tyedye rage against the machine top. The belt is another charity shop find.. I bet the people who read my blog get bored of me saying 'and this is from a charity shop and this is and this is and this and everything I own is from a charity shop' and the creepers are from ebay. I think I'm going to buy some more creepers with my christmas money as they are pretty much all I wear now and only having two pairs gets a bit boring.

I still haven't photographed my DIY'd secret item of footwear, although you probably can already guess what it is if you've been on my twitter.

This morning I woke up and decided, you know what, I think its time to change my blog theme. So I did and I quite like it. If theres anything wrong with it then please let me know!

Here's an outfit which I never posted on here from a few months ago. The shirt is actually a school girls summer dress, it was 50p in a charity shop, no one seemed to want it :-( the shorts are also from a charity shop, they were trousers but I cut the legs off. The creepers are from ebay. Lots of people keep asking which ebay shop I got my starry creepers from. I didn't get them from a shop, an they were an individual listing, sorry!

I've also spent a few hours doing something else constructive today but that's a secret and I'll post about it tomorrow!

I promised on lookbook that I would most at least once a day, in the last four days I have posted... once. Ok so I've been tidying my room and I saw my boyfriend but today is outfit day.. or making day. I'm not sure, but I'm going to do something constructive. I hope. Anyway, this was what I wore a few days ago, skirt is from tammy, shirt is from a charity shop as is the waistcoat. Tights are from the rag market and I think the socks are from primark and the shoes are from ebay! I love these shoes I've wanted some for ages and now I finally have them yay! You can only really walk on flat surfaces with them on though :/

Today was the end of my first term at uni and now I am free to do whatever I want for a month, so I decided to go charity shopping. Having not been since September I was having serious withdrawal symptoms. This is what I bought! Together it all came to a grand total of £9!

I'm going to start collecting old glasses! I can never find ones that I like when I go to the opticians, but I figured if I have a giant collection at home then I can just choose one and waltz into specsavers and get them to change the lenses. Its only about £30 to have new lenses put into old glasses.. which is cheaper than buying the ones in store. These glasses were only £1 :-D

I've moved my blog around a bit and removed the header, I'm trying to think of something to put in its place but at the same time I kind of like it without anyway. I probably wont be blogging as much as normal for a little while as I've just started Uni and everything feels really busy. In this outfit I'm wearing a green vintage shirt from Cow Vintage, another shirt over the top which is from a charity shop and an alice band from Primark. I made the skirt myself and the tights are from Primark. Both the Creepers and Socks are from ebay. Soon I hope to invest in some more platform shoes because I've developed a great love for them! Also, I finished work on Saturday so now I can actually dye my hair permanently... well ok, not permanently, but it will last a month or two! Goodbye spray in hair colour!

I have new glasses, actually I've had them for a week today! I can finally see properly, everything is really clear. When I put them on I was like 'oh so this is what the world looks like.' My shirt is from a charity shop, i cut the neckline and arms off. The shirt with the huge collar is from a charity shop and I made the frilly lace shorts myself. Tights are from The Rag Market as usual and my socks are off ebay, along with my dr martens!

I couldn't decide what colour to have my fringe today so I started off with having it yellow and then I didn't like that so I put some blue on it and I thought that looked better.. Then I thought I haven't had black hair for ages so I'll have some black and pink at the back and urgh I love it maybe at the end of September I will permanently dye it like this.

I have acquired a Lamb Of God top!! I think the strange screech I let out when I was in the charity shop may have shocked all the people in there but I kind of ran over to it like FINALLY I HAVE FOUND YOU THE LIGHT OF MY LIFE! Then the shop lady told me it was half price so I got it for the grand price of £1.75 which I was rather happy about. I also bought the flannel shirt on the same day, it was 99p. I bought the tights the day before and they were 50p which I thought were a bargain until I realized the motif was rubbing off, but hey what can you expect for 50p? The socks are from Primark and my shoes are again from a charity shop. I'm getting new glasses tomorrow I can't wait, everything will be clear again!

I've got plenty more outfit photos left to post. Recently I've been taking them all in one go, you may have noticed. Its because I can never be bothered to do it when I get home, so instead I leave it until I have a free day and then I put all the outfits I've worn that week back on and take photos.

I don't know why I don't wear this shirt more often, its probably one of my favourites! I know I've posted it before but I just wanted everyone to bask in its beaming rays of fabulousness. I bought it from the Birmingham Vintage Fair on my birthday. As you can see I've also acquired some more creepers, I really do adore them. I saw them on ebay a few nights before the bidding ended and they were only £20, going by usual creeper price that's a bargain! So obviously, I waited until the last 30 seconds and placed my bid even though there wasn't anyone to bid against (I really can't understand why) and then I won them and happiness ensued. Does anyone else find bidding on things on ebay makes them really nervous? They have a little coffin hole inside to hide things in! I bought the necklaces from a carboot sale when I was in wales.

I've always wanted a pair of tights like these ever since I first saw them on tumblr, but I've never been able to find them/ they're too expensive. Instead I decided I'd make them myself, seeing as the tights themselves were only about 10p a pair I drew on them with permanent marker and I love them! Despite the fact that you can kinda tell they are drawn on haha. I went shopping with my friend Jo the other day, she bought loads and I bought my fabulous new cardigan, I love it, its so warm and fluffy and the colour is lovely I think. My docs are from ebay and also I've changed the laces in them to the ones which I bought at oasis market in birmingham. My no riders top was from a car boot sale and I cut the arms off and the neck out.

I hope everyone is safe and keeping away from the riots, people are mad! I hope its over soon!

HOGWARTS REALM

As some of you may or may not know, I love Harry Potter and have done since I was about six years old. I still read the books religiously and also look after my almost six year old Harry Potter RPG forum, Hogwarts Realm. Once upon a time it was one of the most active Harry Potter RPGs on the net but unfortunately a few years back I got a life and everything went down hill, so I was hoping to try and get it back on track again! If anyone can lend a helping hand by maybe posting a link or an advertisement banner, or even just mentioning it to some Harry Potter loving friends I'd be so happy! I may even give those that help a little promotion here on my blog as a thank you!

Hogwarts Realm

Its the year 2027, Harry Potter and his friends are all in their forties. Professor Dumbledore passed away at the ripe age of 176 and now Lavender Finnegan has been appointed Headmistress of Hogwarts for her loving and caring ways, which may be needed in the times to come

A strange concoction, said to subdue Manticores and other dangerous magical creatures was being created for use in court rooms for the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, however, something went wrong. The wizards and witches who created to potion breathed in fumes from the potion and unbelievably lost their magic. This would be an ok thing to get over in the Wizarding World if it was only those few potioners, but now the malady is spreading, to what is supposedly the entire magical world. Some are immune but many aren't and those that aren't are losing their magic left right and center. The Ministry is doing what it can but nothing seems to be working, how will we find the cure?!

The top photo is me with my natural hair and no makeup, oh dear. I thought you might like to see my morning transformation haha. I don't really like my hair in the first photo but I also don't know if I should cut a fringe in. At the moment I'm just clipping it under, and I really like the way it looks, but I'm scared that if I cut it, it wont look the same, but I hate having to spend so much time trying to get my fringe right.. and then sometimes it falls out during the day, but then some days I feel like having a middle parting, even though I don't think it suits me. Oh the confusion. Also, I bleached my roots the other day with live xxl, I'm going for a more all over striking colour rather than highlights, I love it, my mom wasn't too happy though :'(

They have arrived! I am so happy I adore them! I'm currently in wales, the land of amazing charity shops, but I'm going home soon, I've been here all week! I'll do an update tomorrow or Tuesday of all the stuff I've acquired! In these photos I'm wearing a blouse which is from a charity shop, the shorts I've had since I was 10, originally they were light blue skinny jeans but then I dyed them black when I was about 13, and then when I was 15 I cut them into shorts, they were from Tammy originally. My tights are from the birmingham rag market, I now have two pairs of these! I've also dyed the roots of my hair blonde, its a bit yellow but nothing a bit of toning shampoo can't fix! I think it went ok considering it was my first time bleaching my hair.. despite the fact that the underneath of my hair is still partly brown, really I want an all over colour but I know thats difficult to achieve since I have highlights so I'm just going to leave it and keep touching up my roots every few months

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything for so long, I just didn't feel like it, but I've been on my tumblr lots. I'm trying to figure out a way to merge the two, well, not merge, but have them running side by side on one page, I think it would motivate me to update this blog more often.

I bought a new blouse today, it had a giant collar, I saw it in the window in Oxfam and just had to get it, despite the fact that it was £4 which to me is a lot haha. I got the shorts from a charity shop in Plymoth in Devon last week, originally they were long baggy flared trousers but I cut off the legs. The brooch was another one which my grandma gave me and I've had that cardigan since I was about 15, I think its from Primark. My hair is what I would like to call the Twiggy Ramirez hair style. I love Twiggy he is fabulous.

BARBIE NECKLACE

Hey everyone, guess what I have acquired a laptop! Its not actually mine its my moms but she lets me borrow it. Right now I'm happily blogging from the comfort of my bed. A few weeks ago I went to a car boot sale and found this lovely My Little Pony, along with two others and six barbies. I decided to make barbie necklace so I brutally mutilated my barbie and attached her head to a necklace I've had for a while. Everyone seems to think its really creepy... which I think is kinda cool haha!

I think I should invest in a better quality webcam....

SCARY CANARY LAUNDRETTE SHOOT

Last Thursday I had another photoshoot with Scary Canary, a vintage and new clothing store based in Stourbridge in a little passageway called Victoria Passage. The store is quite small but very lovely and has lots of vintage and specially selected unique designs from small brands, you can check out their website here - http://www.scarycanaryclothing.co.uk/

I did another photoshoot with them about a month ago but I forgot to put the photos on my blog so I will endeavour to do that soon!

I am wearing a blazer from a brand called Laundry Room, hence the location! The vintage blouse is from Scary Canary and the shorts are mine which I bought from a charity shop. I bought the socks in Primark and the shoes belong to Betty who was also in some photos but I will post those separately. The bows were Stacy's idea, although I'm not quite sure where she got them.

I'm sorry that I've neglected my blog so much over the last few weeks, I just haven't felt like posting, but I am back, as tomorrow I have a weeks holiday where I can make things and blog as much as I like. Speaking of making things, you may have noticed my fabulous new dr martens, well ok they're not new, I have just covered them in glitter, which I've been meaning to do for a while. I got my top from YOUREYESLIE at Clothes Show Live last december. I've been wearing a lot of YEL recently, they sent me some tshirts last week which I've already posted on my lookbook and I will post here soon, I think they are my favorite tshirt store at the moment. My wonderful velvet leggings are from primark, no surprises there!

I also dyed my hair lilac but it has faded now, I used shaders and toners in plum, unfortunately they stopped making it about a year ago but I managed to find some on ebay!

I bought this dress at clothes show live in december, its from Motel, I have two of them, but the otherone is cream with a different pattern on it, but its the same kind of style. I bought the bow tie from a charity shop, my nan gave me the scarf, the socks are from primark and dr martens from ebay! I'm off to Nathans house now, hopefully he will cook me a plate of yorkshire puddings awh!

I have a lot of highwaisted denim shorts, and I find that blue gets a bit boring, so I decided, I know I'll dye some pink! So here they are, I love them, I'll be wearing them all the time and I'll probably dye the rest of my shorts too knowing me.

I bought the top from Youreyeslie and my grandma gave me the belt. My glasses are from specsavers in the granny section. I'm going to need some new glasses soon because everything is becoming blurry again, why must my eyesight deteriorate, it was so good for 15 years!

This blouse is another recent purchase from the charity shops! The collar is really long, I feel like The Joker whenever I wear it, even though it doesn't really look the same. My skirt is from primark, again. I feel I should never have bought these velvet skirts as its practically all I wear, they go with everything haha. The sparkely tights are from ebay, as are my dr martens. I think the bow came off a present, or it was part of the wrapping on something I bought.

I've had a very good day today. It didn't start very well because I kept missing buses and they were all really late, but after I got off the bus and made my way to the charity shops everything improved!

Its been ages since I went to the charity shops. I bought some blouses and jumpers, but what I really wanted to show you were these marvelous things! I walked into the shop and they were staring at me. I was like, those have to be my size, they are made for my feet! So I walked up to them and looked at the size and yes, they were my size (UK 5) so I tried them on, and angels began to sing. They were £15 from The Salvation Army, brand new, they don't look like they've ever been worn! I was so happy.

Last night I got back from college and decided to take a photo of my outfit. I then continued to put on all the outfits I had worn over the past two weeks but had forgotten to take photos, and then photograph the ones I liked the most, so there are more to come!

I've started doing my hair like this. I got quite bored of my old updo and I thought I needed a new and improved one so here it is I hope you like it :)

Both my blouses are from charity shops, the skirt is from primark, but you probably already know that! My tights are from trusty old Marks and Spencers and my shoes are from primark. Also, I almost forgot, my grandma gave me the brooch.

PRUDENCE AND SNOWIE

These are my beautiful doggies. They are West Highland Terriers, and there supposed to be white but they enjoy playing in the mud, so they're more of a beige colour haha! Awh but I still love them very much. They're rescue dogs, they were breeding bitches on a puppy farm, forced to live in cages with what I'm guessing was very little food as snowie was very thin when she came to us. They were forced to have as many litters as possible before they could no longer have any more and then when the farmer had no use for them, he would, well.. get rid of them. I wrote more about it here on my blog back in August, and about the place that rescued them (Many Tears Animal Rescue) you can read it HERE if you like.

Snowie is the one on the right and Prudence is on the left.. Snowie was originally called Persil but my Dad said he didn't want to be running around the park calling "PERSIL!" Haha.

You probably think they look completely the same, everyone thinks there sisters, but I think they look completely different. Prudence is quite small and has a very rounded back and a small head but snowie is more square shaped with giant ears haha, I call her radar ears lol!

Snowie is very bossy and her two number one priorities in life are to go to the park everyday and also to eat lots and lots of food, preferably roast chicken. Shes become a very happy dog, when we first had her she was terrified of everything but shes a lot better now and has probably become a little over confident. She thinks rules the house lol.

Prudence is very friendly and likes basically everyone, apart from people she barks at which isn't many. She's very protective of my mom and gets very depressed when my mom is doing anything that doesn't involve prudence. We think that before she went to the puppy farm she lived in a house because when we first had her, she knew what suit cases were and what it meant when someone put on their coat or got their keys. She also hates christmas, whenever she sees the christmas tree she follows my mom around everywhere as if shes going to loose her. We think that her old family must have given her away to the puppy farm at christmas to make way for a new dog or something like that.. Although, I don't understand how someone could even do that.

Anyway, I love them very much, I don't know what I would do without my two ickle doggies!

MERMAID HAIR [APPARENTLY]

Some photos from when I sprayed the entirety of my hair blue and green. I think this is my favorite colour as of yet, I defiantly prefer green to pink for some reason. When I first took the photos which was about two months ago, I posted them on tumblr and everyone said it looked like mermaid hair, which makes sense really lol. Although quite a few others did start calling me Old Greg, which was nice, yknow. Haha. I'm wearing my customized disturbed top that I bought at Clothes Show Live!

I'M SEARCHING FOR FRAGILE BONES

I should start telling people the names of the songs which my lookbook and blog posts are named as. This particular lyric "I'm searching for fragile bones" is from Evolution by Korn, who are probably my second most favorite band ever, Mr Manson being first of course!

In this look I am wearing a new top I bought last Thursday from Select! It was in the sale so obviously I had to buy it, there was another one which I haven't bought yet because sale items were buy one get one half price! I haven't worn the other one yet. I am also wearing a velvet skirt from primark which was £1! I have much love for primark sales! The belt was given to me by my grandma, I'm wearing it all the time currently, I think its my favorite accessory. I bought my tights from the Birmingham Rag Market but they were very flimsy and ripped easily, so I decided to rip them a bit more haha! Socks are from primark and the were given to me by my Nan.

My My Little Pony top has arrived! I have much love for ebay! I cut it up as soon as I got it, Like basically all my other tops that have been attacked with scissors. I'm also wearing a skirt which I made myself, a head band with a bow on but I have no idea where its from. A turquoise cardigan from primark and also from primark, my shoes and socks. My grandma gave me the belt, I used to have a pink one too but I have no idea where it's hiding :( I love how tacky it is as well, its like a jelly belt!

Also I have redirected my tumblr page to my blog here. This is because I really don't like tumblr anymore, I can laugh off hate very easily, but I dislike confrontation and that is what it feels like when I go on there these days, everything is so negative. Having it redirect to my blog gives my tumblr followers a chance to continue following me, that is if they want to, I do wonder sometimes. I might delete and I might not... I'm really not sure about it, maybe I'll go back to tumblr, who knows. There is just such a negative atmosphere on there, and in not being there I am hoping to post updates here daily and get rid of this mood of impending doom!

I found a picture of nails like these on tumblr, I clicked on the source (link) obviously, those ones are better than mine but, I really liked them so I thought I'd try it out.

I'm pretty rubbish at painting nails, I have a really unsteady hand.. I liked the way they turned out though! There a bit chipped now, seeing as I've been opening boxes all day at work, but I think that just adds to the effect. I might do them in purple or black next time or something like that..

I should have uploaded this days ago, oops, anyway... As the title says, I have a growing collection of velvet skirts. Not only do I now have my navy blue and my tie-die velvet skirt I now also have a black one and a weird cream/ silver/ gold coloured one too, all thanks to the £1 primark sale.

Blouse is from Cow vintage, gold/ black jumper is from a charity shop. I got the skirt as you know, from primark and the tights are from the Birmingham Rag Market. The shoes are leather converse which I've folded over at the top.. I'm not really fond of the longer ones anymore.

Yesterday when I got back from college I watched The Great British Hairdresser and decided that I very much miss my long hair. I know a lot of you will probably say that I already have long hair, but to me, what I have is only medium length. I used to be able to almost sit on my hair when I was about 15/16 and then I stupidly cut it off to shoulder length because someone said they preferred it shorter. I've been trying to grow it back ever since. It seems to grow so slowly..

I decided to clip in my really horrible synthetic extensions that I bought from a charity shop (they had never been used before) and I really wish my hair was still this long :( I've never worn extensions before, mainly because I know that my hair will eventually grow to that length, I feel like I'd be cheating at having long hair and also I do an awful job of disguising them and making them look natural.. as you can tell lol

I've started parting my hair in the middle.. I think I look weird with a fringe now haha, there is no turning back. I'm also lost without my black lipstick, you can probably tell seeing as I'm wearing it in every photo I've posted recently.

You have probably noticed that I've changed my layout. This time I've gone for something a bit more to do with my current style, which I think is some kind of weird, tacky, gothic kinda look mixed with unicorns, glitter and pink things. The layout looks good on my screen but I have a huge screen so it never seems to look the same on other peoples, so if its a bit weird please tell me so I can try and fix it.

In this outfit I'm wearing a flannel shirt which I bought from a charity shop in the mens section. I bought the dress from a store in the bullring which I think has now closed down, but the label says Gavi Di Gavi Paris. I'm not sure where the belt is from and both my shoes and socks are from Primark.

I've noticed my posts are becoming increasingly shorter text-wise, but I can't really find anything interesting to say. For the past two weeks I've ever had a very long cold, or hayfever, I'm not quite sure, but I think its hayfever. When it rains I stop sneezing for a few days and then when the sun comes out and everything drys up I start to sneeze again.

At college I've been making many many fabric samples. Yesterday my tutor introduced me to a magical machine which I think is called a felting machine, although I could be wrong but that's what it does, it makes felt and other weird and wonderful fabrics. I spent the entire day using different coloured wools and organza, meshing them all together to create some kind of thick but still see through fabric. They're really cool and squishy, they'd make really cool cushions or pillows, but I'm not sure how you'd wash them because they'd probably end up in a huge mushy mess.

It was in the sale, 2 for £10 so I bought this one and another one with a skull on it which I haven't worn yet because its a bit low cut, I think I'll have to find something nice to put under it. I'm really sorry I haven't been updating much recently. Over the past few weeks I've had college deadlines, portfolios to make and university interviews. Its also my birthday on Saturday, I'm going to be 18, which is kind of weird, although not weird at all but still very odd. I don't know what colour to have my hair on my birthday, I have pink, purple, orange, green, black, red and blue to choose from! I'm thinking of going for a very odd mixture but I'm still not sure what that mixture is going to be, any suggestions? Ontop of everything, I'm currently doing a project which I have to send off to Uni so they can decide if they want to give me an interview or not. Wish me luck!

The killer whale galaxy jumper is from a charity shop in wales, the shorts were originally trousers but I cut the legs off, I bought them from a charity shop. I got the glittery tights from ebay and the glittery shoes from Urban Outfitters in the sale.

I'm going to wales again on friday to stay at my nan and grandads. I can't wait, they have the best charity shops in wales!

Today whilst out shopping for my friends birthday present I found these lovely jumpers! As you have probably already noticed, my love for glittery cute things is growing at an alarming rate. I may end up using some of these jumpers/ cardigan in my project, although I'm not too sure if I can really bring myself to cut them up. Of course, I'll have to cut up the smallest jumper (4th photo) as its for a 2-3 year old. Your probably wondering why on earth I bought it if its that size, but have you seen it?! How could I resist? They were 50p, so obviously I bought two. Maybe I'll be able to make my dogs some leg warmers or a dog coat; they have arthritis in their legs so its not very nice for them when it gets cold, although they still run around the park like mad things.

♥ Outfit On Teen Vogue

I got this jumper from cow vintage, I think it was a bargain! I wasn't actually planning to buy anything on that particular shopping trip, I was actually on my way to the rag market to get some fabric for college but on my way I stopped at Cow, UO, Topshop, Selfridges and Miss Selfridge and New Look which, when in birmingham, are my usual shopping destinations. Anyway, at cow the majority of jumpers on the rail were priced at £18, I saw this one and though oh my god it looks amazing (It really was the nicest one there!) but there was no price tag on it, and I was worried it was going to be around £20 because its covered in pearls and has really nice baby coloured unusual yarns, so I took it up to the counter thinking that I could stretch to no more than £18. When I got to the counter the lady told me it was £12, I think she may have just guessed, but ah well, their loss, my gain!

I've also learnt to use a knitting machine, so soon enough I will be getting some yarn and rescuing my knitting machine from the loft! Hopefully I can make something wearable. Does anyone know where to get some nice yarn from?

I got the tights from ebay and the glittery shoes, which you can't see very well, I apologize, are from Urban Outfitters, they were in the sale for £10! The skirt which I've worn so many times before is from primark.

My hair is back to blonde again now but if anyone was wondering, I used Wella Shaders and Toners again in Rich Mahogany. It went the colour which I wanted my hair to go at new year. This time I wanted it to be red but it turned out pink, so obviously not a very reliable dye but I like all shades of pink and red so I can't really go wrong.

Recently I've become obsessed with tacky things, I've even based my college project around it. Its about make do and mend, which means all the fabric has to be either old or really cheap. The designs are inspired by current designers, things I find interesting and also future trend predictions that you can find in Textile View. I've even created a sort of online research journal/ collection of images that I like here on tumblr, simply for the purpose of keeping me inspired.

The other day I went searching through my fabric draw and found this blue satin, I bought it about a year and a half ago with the intention of making a prom dress to sell but it never really happened so I decided instead I would use it to make a top! I bought the lace from a car boot sale for 10p and the fabric was around £3 a meter, and I only used about a quarter of a meter to make the top, so all in all, quite a cheap item of clothing! And I really like it.

As for the outfit, I bought the bird blouse a while ago from a charity shop, it was before I even knew about the muimui print and when I first posted it on lookbook everyone was like "OMG its the muimui print" so I googled it, and I was really quite happy that I had found such a nice thing in a charity shop. Its from a label called Influence, if anyone knows them? I googled them and Motel came up so maybe they used to sell through Motel. I bought the highwaisted shorts at a charity shop, the spotty tights at the rag market in Birmingham and the shoes were my nans but she decided to give them to me, thanks Nan!

This is what I wore today, a blouse from the charity shops, primark velvet skirt and dark pink ribbed tights which are also from primark. I think I wear too much velvet, although, I'm not sure if thats a good or bad thing. I think half of my wardrobe is made up of velvet, wow, imagine a velvet wardrobe.

I've had quite a few messages today about what product I used for my pink fringe. I used a spray on hair colour which washes straight out without you having to be worried about it staining or basically just not washing out, which means its perfect for me as I can't have un-nautral hair colours for work.

I went out today after work and bought the red and blue to add to my collection. They also come in little tubes of gel which I think is more suitable for those with short hair. I bought mine from Superdrug, but they also stock them in Boots and I saw a similar range in Wilkinson. I bought my pink spray years ago when I had black hair hoping that it would make my hair pink, which it didn't, it just looked all weird with bits of flakey pink-ness so I would advise that if you're going to buy some you only do so if you have light hair, because you might be a little disappointed. You can see the whole range here. Also it sometimes its rubs off on your face haha! Last night I lifted up my fringe and underneath my skin was bright pink!

I really missed my colourful fringe so I went rummaging in the hair draw and I found my old spray in dye. When I had black hair I tried using this and it turned out terrible but it looks really good on blonde hair! And it also washes out straight away which means if I have to go to work all I have to do is wash my hair and its gone, so I think I'll be buying one of these in every colour!

1980's PARTY!

It was my Aunties birthday yesterday and she had a 1980's Fancy Dress! I decided to dress in a similar style to Siouxsie Sioux/ Strawberry Switchblade, which is basically how my mom and her friends used to dress everyday when they were my age. I actually really like this kinda look and I might actually consider doing my hair like this more often!

The last picture is a quite terrible one of me from the party. I would post some other peoples outfits although I'm not too sure they would be happy with me putting photos of them on the internet.

I got both the vintage jacket and the gold jumper from a charity shop, the leggings are from primark and the studded shoes are from matalan. I got the belt a few years ago from a chairty shop, I used to wear it all the time when I was younger along with anything that was black, with black hair, black eyeliner and anything that was generally black. The necklaces were given to me for christmas and birthdays from my Grandma!

It took ages to get the knots out of my hair this morning!

Guess what! I'm no longer a fine art student, I've transferred over to fashion! I'm not entirely sure I'm going to like it, because I did it last year and it wasn't all that great, we only got to make one garment and they didn't really teach us how to pattern cut. It was all based on research and design, which I understand is important but I'd rather be sewing because once I get an idea in my head, if I don't make it straight away its replaced by a shiny new idea, and then another, and another and I end up getting very confused.

As you can tell, I'm quite obsessed with these velvet leggings at the moment, I think they were a real bargain seeing as I actually got them in the sale in primark, I mean, who would not want these? Well I can think of a lot of people but thats not the point they are amazing, and only £3 which I do believe is an excellent bargain. I bought the top on thursday from a Charity Shop, they were also having a sale on all the christmas/ party wear/ anything that sparkles, so I managed to get this top for £1.25 along with a gorgeous gold shimmery cardigan which I will probably post at a later date when I find something to wear it with. I'm wearing my converse/pump-like high heels which were from select, once again in the sale, for £9, and the cardigan is from a charity shop also.

After I took these pictures last night I put one on lookbook then I rushed out of the house to go to my boyfriends for the new year, which was lovelyy. He cooked me a plate of yorkshire puddings! I love yorkshire puddings.

I decided to dye my fringe pink, I think I dyed too much of it haha, and it was supposed to be reddypink but I think its more red than reddypink but hey, its alright I suppose! Its a wash in wash out dye so it should have washed out by the end of the week although last time I did it it took about 2 weeks to wash out completely, but thats probably because my hair is bleached, when I used to use it on my black hair it washed out within a day and it wasnt really very effective.

I used Wella Shaders and Toners in Mahogany, just incase anyone wanted to know. I bought mine from Wilkinson but you can get it from Superdrug and Boots, I don't think they do it online but I did find it on the Loyds Pharmacy website here. Maybe next time I will use the Plum colour and dye it purple!

I really should have posted this yesterday but ah well, I'm finally getting round to it, not that I've been doing much else. This is what I wore yesterday. I've had the santa hat for as long as I can remember, I'm not sure where its from, it seems quite old. The jumper is from a charity shop. The velvet leggings are from primark, I thought they were quite festive so I decided to pop them on and the shoes are from a charity shop.

I had a blackberry for Christmas but unfortunately the internet was so slow it took over 30 minutes to load one page, well, more like I gave up after 30 minutes. Its fine when the wifi is turned on but what about when I want to use it whilst I'm outside the house? which is the reason why I bought it in the first place. I took it back this morning to the dreaded overcrowded shopping center and they exchanged it for a new one straight away because they said it shouldn't even take up to five minuets to load a webpage, so I was quite pleased with that. I'm charging the new one as we speak, I hope it works!

This was yesterday's outfit. I love this jumper so much, it was the first vintage jumper I ever bought, in fact its probably the first vintage thing I ever bought. I got it from a really good quality vintage store at Clothes Show Live 2009, the store was full of amazing and what looked like genuine good quality authentic vintage clothes, I got two jumpers for £30 which at the time I thought it was a pretty good deal, and I still kind of do seeing as I haven't been able to find a store as good as this since. I wish I could remember the name..

I can't remember where I got the skirt from, I've had it since I was about 9, I cut it really short when I was about 14 and now its really frayed but I like it!

The tights are from Topshop, they were £8 which I think is an absolute rip off for tights seeing as a few weeks later I saw them in Primark for £2

The shoes are from Primark, I need some new ones as those have really gone out of shape..

PRINTED TSHIRT BY ME
This is another tshirt that I printed for my college project.
The print is a continuous line drawing in ink of myself. I then used the original drawing to create a mono print and then transferred it onto a photo screen so I could print it onto tshirts :)

I will add more things to the list, and I'm hoping to include a bag which I printed myself too!

EDIT: Seeing as it took only a matter of hours after I posted this to get to 1000 followers, I'm thinking of extending it 1500. I said I would get some other things for the giveaway and I never got chance to because it was over so fast. I thought it would be a few weeks before I got to 1000 and I was really surprised when I came on here the next morning to find I had reached the mark! Thanks so much everyone! STYLE JOURNALS - FASHION BLOGS TOPSITE

I only created Style Journals a few days ago and already it has brought 100 new visitors to my blog, which I think is really good seeing as only 9 people have joined as of yet and I'd love for them to be getting as many visitors as I am! I'm hoping this website will be a big hit! As you can see I've made a banner to hopefully make it look a bit more presentable, but I'm stuck on what to do for the background, I may just leave it white. Its difficult because my screen is really wide and I'm forever getting background sizes wrong these days because of it.

I'm hoping that Style Journals will be a good way of getting new visitors to everyone's blogs. I'm also thinking of resetting the hits every week/ two weeks/ month, whichever is more effective, so that everyone will get a chance to get onto the top page. Also, at the top of the page before the list there is a featured blog which is chosen at random every hour/ few hours. I was also thinking of doing some kind of blog of the week? But that's only if lots of people join. Anyone can join as long as your blog is slightly style related and really, style covers everything, and it can be on any blogging platform!

I shed the skin to feed the fake

This is what I wore yesterday when I went to Birmingham. The jumper is from a car boot sale that I went to this summer, the head scarf and vintage blouse are from Charity Shops. The leggings were on sale in Primark for £3 so obviously I bought two pairs, one in purple and another in red which I'm wearing at the moment. I bought the boots one day after college when I felt a sudden urge to go into a charity shop. I had been thinking "Hmm I need some new boots". It must have been fate because they were just sat there on the shelf looking at me innocently.

MYSTERY PACKAGE REVEALED

This was an outfit I wore a couple of days ago, I decided to put it all back on so that I could take some photos because I quite liked it! The flannel shirt is from Cow Vintage, the Vintage Nirvana shirt is reworked from an original tshirt (I would be too scared to cut it up myself!) It was from a vintage store called Rabbit Works at Clothes Show Live. I got the shorts from a charity shop, tights from primark and my green dr martens are from ebay!

THE CHRISTMAS TREE IS UP!

I put up the Christmas decorations on Sunday and now I feel really christmasy, I want to make loads of decorations and Christmas cookies!

This morning when I put the computer on I had a sudden brainwave and I thought it would be really cool if I started a Topsite. When I used to go on my Harry Potter forum when I was younger I would post a link and a banner on Harry Potter topsites and I'd constantly be trying to get more hits so that my forum would be at the top of the page. I thought it would be a cool idea to create one for fashion blogs!

I haven't finished the graphics yet, eventually there should be a header and maybe a background.. or I might just leave the background white. Anyway, how it works is that when you join you get a vote banner code, you put the vote banner code onto your blog and when people click on it, it will go onto the topsites list. The amount of hits/ click throughs you get will determine how high up you are on the list, which means it can change all the time. You will probably need a 88x31px banner, but its not necessary. You have to click on the banner from your blog to activate it so that your blog shows up on the website, but sometimes it does take some time. Its a good way to get new visitors, well, it will be if lots of people join haha! Anyone can join, as long as your blog is slightly fashion related!

Slowly Recall All Your Mind

This was what I wore on Wednesday, it was really cold, I had three more jumpers on under that one!

The Jumper is from a charity shop, it was only £1, I think the volunteers there must have thought it was ugly because its old and so they were selling it cheaply. My scarf was from primark, I bought it about 2 years ago, its from the mens section, I couldn't find any I liked in the womens. The pocket watch is from a Jewelers at a Car Boot Sale, it was only £3. I had seen them before in Urban Outfitters and I really wanted one so when I saw this one at the car boot sale I had to get it! My jeans are from Primark, there a really dull khaki colour, but I like them, it makes them a bit different from the average blue jeans, I think they were £8. I get most of my jeans from primark, mainly because there cheap and seem to be just as good as any other jeans. The shoes are my nans, she gave them to me this summer and I haven't worn them yet but they are really comfy!

I wish blogspot wouldn't resize my images to this small, I don't understand why it does it, and if I try to make them bigger there pixelated :( This should hopefully be my first post on Teen Vogue Fashion Click! TSHIRT PRINTS

I've been doing a project at college about how people are fascinated of looking at pictures of other people on the internet. Kind of how some are internet "famous" and questioning how and why that is. I've focused on lots of different bloggers, with the idea in mind that blogging is like 5 minuets of fame, if you say or post the wrong or right thing at the right time you can instantly be catapulted to to internet stardom within a matter of seconds.

Over the past year of blogging I've noticed that being thrown into the lime light can either be one of the best things that will probably ever happen to you or a long, grueling bombardment of hate which will eventually make you think twice before switching the computer on. Just the other day I watched a girl on Tumblr gain over 10,000 followers in just 10 minuets because she posted a picture of a girl that she said was her bestfriend and under the picture it said that she had committed suicide the day before because of internet bullying. She said that tumblr should be ashamed of bullying this girl, when the girl who posted the picture in the first place had things written on her profile like "Delete ur life" and "Fxcking Die". In the end it turned out the girl was just posting a picture of herself, trying to get attention, but in those short 10 minuets she got around 500 messages of hate and spam and the girl ended up deleting her tumblr by the end of the night. Another example I would have to say is Jessi Slaughter, and I think we all know why. Some good examples on the other hand are people such as Shelley Mulshine (http://www.loststhlm.se/shelley/) Andy T (http://www.stylescrapbook.com/) and the blogger from fashiontoast who's name I think is Rumi Lenora? (http://www.fashiontoast.com/) Who actually get money from blogging because they are so successful.

I suppose that you could count the above bloggers as famous, however at the same time they are just people who pretty much write their diary online behind their computer screen, and despite the fact you know who they are, you're friends probably wouldn't have a clue, I know my friends don't, they would rather have a life, I really don't understand them...

My first tshirt print was of Nadia Esra, to create it I first printed out a photo of her from her blog and drew it in my sketchbook. I then photocopied my drawing and used it to create a mono print which I think also photocopied on to Acetate and finally transferred it onto a photo screen for printing in the textile room!

I did ask Nadia before I used her photos! I'm going to email her now, or maybe tomorrow morning because its my bedtime now, and show her the tshirts, I hope she likes them! There are more to come, they just haven't dried yet!

Here is what I bought at Clothes Show Live today! It was really good, there were loads of vintage stores! The Nebula/ Galaxy tshirts are from a tshirt company called Your Eyes Lie, they were in the sale and they were only £5 each! I got the band tshirts from a vintage store and the two dresses are re-worked vintage flannel shirts from Motel!

It snowed today! Me and my friends ran around college like 5 year old's every time we see even the tiniest bit of snow, which always makes the day a bit more exciting.

I'm sorry its been so long since I last updated, I wanted to wait until Teen Vogue accepted me, but they still haven't got back to me, I'm starting to think they don't actually want me to blog there but then again, why would they ask me? I'm thinking of sending them another email.

I don't really have any new clothes to show you because I haven't been shopping as I haven't had time, but thats all due to change on friday as I have two tickets for Clothes Show Live! My mom won the tickets, otherwise I wouldn't be going, I love my mom! Me and my friend Ellie will be there, hopefully there will be lots of amazing clothes, I can't wait! Its the only thing which I am hoping the snow will stop for! I'll take lots of pictures whilst I'm there and tell you all which stores are there this year!

Thanks to everyone who commented, messaged and emailed me pictures of themselves for my art project, I have been literally bombarded, I am very grateful! I've looked through most of them but I still have quite a few to see, I'm pretty much spoilt for choice.

You may have noticed that I've changed my layout. I've been working on it for roughly about four hours, the html has been a nightmare; my brain can only understand so much gibberish until it explodes, but now I've got it working I really like it! I think its a bit more tidy and professional looking than the last layout.

Last night I came home to find this wonderfully packaged parcel on my desk, anyone want to take a guess at what it is? Well, I'm afraid you'll have to because I wont be revealing the mystery item until next week!

NEW SHOES

College ended early for me today and I was going to go straight home but I thought I would just pop into the charity shop on the way to the bus stop and I found these beauty's! I love them and there so soft and look like they've been constantly worn for the past 20 years! You can't really see the detail that much in the photos, for some reason Blogspot seems to really destroy the quality of photos when you upload them..

Also I've had a few messages from people saying they've bought style dairies from Urban Outfitters! I was really excited about this so I went on the website to see if it was true and it is! You can buy it here for £16.99. Its also being sold in Waterstones for the same price.

I decided to make a video instead of writing this time, so expect lots of long pauses and weirdness! These are some of the things I've bought since going back to college in September, which isn't a lot I'm afraid, mainly just coats and warm things!

I don't think I'll be doing these too often, I prefer writing, its just finding the effort to take photos, edit and upload them then write about everything for 3 or 4 hours is rather difficult sometimes.

Also, I have a request for my followers! That is if your a follower on lookbook, tumblr, here or wherever! I'm starting a new project at college, its about the fascination people have with looking at photos of other people and why they find them so interesting. Its a print making project so I've decided to print tshirts and I was hoping to get other people involved by sending some printed shirts out to people, and I also want to sell some on ebay. Basically, I need some photos of peoples faces, so if your willing, just give me a link to a photo of yourself here or email/ formspring me one, I'd really apprichiate it!

What camera do you use? Canon 450D
How do you do your hair? Spray it with lots of hairspray and scrunch it with my hands and then make my fringe behave with the straighteners.
Which charity shops/area do you shop in? I don't really want to give that information out over the internet.
What is your favorite charity shop? The Salvation Army, if we're talking about well known charity shops, however normally my favorite kind of charity shops are local charity shops (not local to me, I just mean they only have one or two stores in an area) because they can't afford to throw the old clothes away.
What do you use to bleach your hair blonde? I used to have highlights at the hairdressers, they used L'Oreal bleach. I now I use Live XXL Platinum.
How tall are you? I'm 5ft 3
What kind of music do you listen to? Marilyn Manson, Korn, Eminem, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold.. but I have Gaga, Beyonce and Katy Perry on my mp3 too so idk lots of stuff. As long as its not Enrique ahaha
What makeup do you use? It changes weekly/ monthly because my skin gets used to my foundation and starts getting oily so I have to keep swapping. Laval Liquid Foundation in Opal, L'Oreal True Match Foundation, L'Oreal Infallible Brush Foundation, Oil of Olay Roll on Foundation (I think they've stopped making this, I can't find it on the website). Rimmel Matte Powder, Liquid Eyeliner from Bodycare, Mascara from Bodycare. Benefit Contour Eyeshadow in brown and then any blusher thats just lying around aha.
What hairspray do you use? I've tried quite a few but the only ones that hold my hair in place are Bristows Ultra Hold and Sainsbury's own brand hairspray, and setting lotion but I don't use that often, only if its a special occasion and I'm leaving curlers in my hair while I sleep.
What straighteners do you use? Remmingtons
Where is your heart wallpaper from? Its not wallpaper, the hearts are stencils. My mom made them and stenciled my room when I was little.
Why do you call your Mum, Mom if you're english? Because my mom and grandma hate the word mum, and also I don't know anyone from birmingham who calls their mom "mum". Although I know people that spell it as mum, but no one pronounces it that way.
Who takes your photos? I take all my photos myself unless stated otherwise.
How do you take your photos?I use a tripod, or stand my camera on anything that is the right height for the photo.

What hair dye do you use? Stargazer. I've tried Shocking pink, Violet, Plum and Tropical Green so far.

VELVET DRESSES

I just thought I would have a look around the topshop website and I saw the most gorgeous dress of all time, so I had to write a blog post about it! Well ok maybe its not the best dress of all time, that's a bit of an exaggeration but I think my exact words were "Awoahhwahoooo ouhhh.."... Anyway, it reminds me of the chirstmas dress I had when I was little; Navy velvet, which is possibly my favorite fabric at the moment. I wear it all the time and I can't imagine ever getting tired of it. I know I will one day, but then I'll rediscover it again and become the velvet queen and bask in my velvetness whilst servants feed me velvet grapes on a velvet sofa whilst they fan me with velvet fans.

The only thing I dislike about this dress is the fact that it's £95. Why? Seriously, what could it possibly be made of to make it that expensive? This is highstreet not designer, its not even in the topshop designer section, if it was then I'd understand, but its not, and so I'm going in search of some similar dresses for a cheaper price.

The green dress is from Urban Outffiters, I really love the colour because you don't see many green velvet's around, also its crushed velvet which gives it a really nice texture, and also, its only £45 which may seem like a lot, but compared to topshops £95 I'd say its a good buy.

I like the second dress although the velvet isn't very noticeable, the fibers must not be very long but I love the colour and style! It is also £45!

My favourite out of the three has to be the Navy Velvet dress which I found in a shop on Etsy called 'FlukeStore' which sells vintage items. This dress is $39.99 (etsy works in dollars rather than pounds but it all gets worked out at the till) I love that its so much cheaper than the topshop one even though its very similar, I also love that its vintage, which means it has a story behind it.. which is always something I enjoy as you probably already know. It also looks like it's in excellent condition, only bad thing is that there is only one of them!

TOPSHOP STUDENT NIGHTS

I was walking around Topshop yesterday and noticed they had some cardboard boxes with the dates of the next student nights written on. I really regretted not going last year because well, there's a 20% discount! That is, as long as you have a student ID. I'm afraid its only available in the UK, but if your from the UK then why don't you check out when the store near you will be holding their student night here. I noticed a lot of them were a few days ago, so I'm sorry I didn't post this earlier, but I only found out yesterday. Chances are most of you already knew about it and you've all bought lots of 20% cheaper stuff. Now I just need to convince my friend Ellie that shes going to be going to Birmingham with me next week!

Also yesterday I checked out the new Cow Vintage next to Urban Outfitters on Corporation Street. I have to say its a bit more pricey than the warehouse down in digbeth but the clothes and bags in there are really nice. Its a bit more expensive than the other store however its definatly cheaper than Urban Renewal, which I also noticed has been enlarged at UO, I guess that they are trying to compete with Cow.

Also finally, Krispy Kreme have a new Coffee Creme Doughtnut out and it's amazing, so you all have to go buy one and make sure they keep it as a permanent thing.

STYLE DIARIES - WORLD FASHION FROM BERLIN TO TOKYO by Simone Werle

Guess what came in the post today guys; a shiny new book! Its called 'Style Diaries World Fashion from Berlin to Tokyo' Written by Simone Werle who is also the author of 'Fashionista: A Century of Style Icons'. Supposedly this book contains 50 of the worlds most inspirational fashion bloggers, I’m on page 64 which makes me feel rather special. Tahti Syrjala, Cosette Munch and Shan Shan (some of my favorite lookbookers) are also in there! I noticed one of her other books was being sold in Urban Outfitters, I hope this one will be! It can be purchased here.

On monday me and my friend Lou went shopping, although we didn't go to any charity shops, but I made up for that yesterday when I hopped on a bus and had a really good charity shopping trip where I found lots of lovely stuff, so I'll post about that soon!

HAD MY HAIR HIGHLIGHTED

I had my hair highlighed on thursday. Its been about 5 months since I had it done and I had them all the way through so now I feel like my hair is super blonde! I had it done at one of the colleges beauty salons near where I live, and they did a really good job, it was like being at a professional salon! It almost looks like an all over colour but I like it, and it was only £15 so for the amount of foils they put in it was good value! Only downside was that it took 5 hours because there students and everything has to keep being checked on by the tutors. Unfortunately it was really damaged at the bottom so its had a lot chopped off.. well, ok the other day I took an inch off the bottom myself but it was like split end central!

I hate the bottom picture haha, I kept trying to smile but it just turned into a weird goofy smile, or maybe its just the weird pose.. Ah well

EDIT: I'm doing something really cool tomorrow (why I got my hair highlighed in the first place) and I'll put pics up either tomorrow night or monday!

WONDERFUL WEDGES

I'm looking for some cheap wedges on ebay, turns out there aren't any however I've found some really nice ones at around £20-£50 so I thought I'd post them here!

I love these although I'm not too sure on the huge curve on the heel, they still look really cool though and i think theyd look really good with a studded leather jacket, although that might be a bit too much of leather and stud overload but it could work..

I thought these were so cool, basically just because of the colour, they match the colour of my room! Also I have never seen a bright pink pair of wedges before and I loveee them, because there not full on barbie pink but a bit of a deeper nicer pink but still quite in your face.

I like these because there both very basic and I know that they are around a lot but they go with almost anything, especially the black ones, and I really like the camel coloured ones too.

If you like the whole cowboy boots thing I think these are really cool, they look like cowboy boots but at the same time they don't look anything like them which I think is really cool. I also love the studs, and they come in a nude colour too!

Finally I think these are perfect for winter! I really want some.. If I have enough money I might get them. I love that they have a little buckle on the side, it makes them look more sophisticated, I think without it they might look like glorified uggs, ok maybe not as far as uggs but they just wouldn't be as cool. SHOPPING YESTERDAY

Sorry I haven't updated in so long! I've been meaning to write something but I haven't been shopping because I've run out of money! Well ok, I went shopping yesterday with the money I got back from selling my old clothes on ebay. British summer seems to of decided its ended and we've skipped autumn and gone straight into winter; so I like to refrain from trying on lots of clothes and taking photos, which is a very cold activity unless the radiators are turned up really high. Which means these photos aren't very good, but I'm sure you'll see them in better detail sometime soon on lookbook.

Which reminds me, get yourself down to the charity shops right now, they all have sales on!

Both of these blouses were in the sale at the Salvation Army. The pale blue/ lilac lace collar blouse was reduced to £1 and the really cool 80's kinda print top was £1.50 I had seen it a few weeks ago and thought that it was really cool but it was £3.00 and I thought that was a bit silly because its only a cropped blouse! but seeing as they reduced it I decided I would get it!

I also found these vintage Armani jeans! I don't know if I'm going to wear them or not, there the same style as the highwaisted turn up levi jeans Urban Outfitters were selling.. or may still be selling I'm not sure I'd have to check the website. Either way, I already have a similar pair except mine are lighter, but I still might sell these ones. They smell and look like they've never been worn!

My boyfriend bought most of this playsuit for me, it was also from a charity shop but I was a bit put off by the price but he said he'd give me £3 towards it which I took reluctantly (I hate it when he buys me stuff haha!) Its a size 14 so it really needs to be adjusted a lot to fit me but its so pretty! Also you can just see the cris-cros detail across the back of the playsuit (I forgot to take a photo) but it goes from shoulder to shoulder and its so nice! So I'm hoping I'll be able to change it so that it fits me because its sooo beautiful!

Also speaking of altering clothes, last week I went to my second cousins wedding and I decided to wear the blue dress which I posted before the ebay update. I altered the length and I also took the waist in a bit seeing as it was a size 18 but it turned out really well! (despite the fact my mom said it was too short haha)

I wore it with the black fur coat I got at a car boot sale a few months ago and some pale pink/lilac/nude shoes my nan gave me.

The photos of all the other items I bought weren't very good so I'll re take those and post them another time! However seeing as you can see them anyway (kind of) in the photo at the top I will go over them briefly. The green top is actually a dress which I need to alter just like the one I did for my cousins wedding. I'm wearing the red blouse at the moment with some bluetights, shorts, a white cardigan and white lace up shoes, I might take a photo of it for lookbook but I don't know if I can bare the cold... Ok I may be over reacting a little bit but honestly this weather change is quite a shock to the system! Also there is a cream cotton blouse with some acorns on. I ran into my Grandma whilst I was going round the charity shops yesterday and she insisted that she buy it rather than me, I don't like it when she buys me stuff, she should spend it on herself! I am very grateful though, shes always buying me brooches too, I've got quite a collection now!

Finally in the bottom right hand corner there is a really nice dark blue-aqua coloured blouse with a pink pattern and its just the most beautiful colour ever! It will defiantly be on lookbook sometime soon!

Also I found out a few weeks ago my Mom and my Grandma read my blog haha......

MALVERN AND HEREFORD

This week I've been so busy compared to normal, not that I've really seen any friends but me, my mom and dad have been out almost everyday. Last friday we ventured all the way to Hereford in search of charity shops. It turned out to be a one-two hour drive, or at least it seemed that long. I took nathan with me too, he doesn't like shopping but I think he likes to see the smile on my face when I find something I like. Also recently he keeps wanting to spend money on me, I think he should spend it on himself, but he won't change his mind so I allowed him to buy me a bag of toffee from Thornton's.

This is a small selection of the things I have bought over the last month or so, I tried to include almost everything I bought from Hereford although some of it is still upstairs waiting to be washed. It looks like where I've edited the photo in photoshop that some of the items are slightly green, which isn't the case thats just my clumsyness with the brush tool.

The first blouse on the left I didn't actually get from Hereford, I got it from one of my local charity shops for a very good price, I had a bit of a field day because as I stepped into the shop I noticed there was one rail that was literally full of vintage blouses, so I just had to pick the best ones and get them all. I have since wanted to go back and get some more but unfortuantely I feel as if I've spent way too much money over the past few weeks and so im going to wait a bit until I get some more from ebay. Anyway, the blouse has a small stain on it which I didn't notice when I bought it but its not visible if I wear it with something highwaisted, and its such a pretty blouse and a nice colour I couldn't possibly throw it away. I wore it the other day infact with a highwaisted skirt, I took some photos and put them on lookbook!

I also made the skirt myself. I found the fabric at a place called The Mill in Wales, it sells loads of amazing fabrics at quite cheap prices, although, I paid a little more than I usually would for this fabric (1 1/2 meters for £4) If you can't quite see what fabric it is, its a gorgeous purple tie-die velvet, I didn't even know you could tie-die velvet but apparently you can and I'm so happy I made this skirt! Also, I made the skirt pattern! Remember the course I said I was going on to learn how to cut patterns? Well, it may of been canceled, but not before I was able to make this pattern! It fits me perfectly, so I'm really pleased at how it turned out!

The second blouse is more like a jacket, although, its made from blouse like fabric, so its a bit confusing but I still really like it. This is one which I got from Hereford, I found all of these in one shop! It was the last shop I went into actually. I was feeling a bit sad up until that point because I had looked round countless charity shops and I couldn't find anything! I really love the pattern and the pocket detail on this blouse, its also cropped, which I think is kinda cool, although it makes me wonder what I should wear it with but I bet I'll find something...

I also really love this next blouse which I got from a local charity shop, I love the pattern, it reminds me of trebel clefs and since i play piano (or at least I used to) I like that little detail. I also love how it fits in with the nautical trend! The collar is also quite small, I like that, I'm not too fond of the normal size collars anymore I prefer to go for something more interesting where the collar is a bit different.. Unless the shirt is interesting enough to pull off a basic shirt collar.

This is probably one of my favorite things which I purchased at Hereford, its very like the Urban Renewal dresses at Urban Outfitters, the ones with the lace across the top, but I like that this one is actually vintage rather than something that's just been made up in a vintage style. I am going to have to edit it a little on the sewing machine because I think it is a size 18 but I tried it on, its more like a size 14-16, probably because of the vintage sizing. But yeah, I love everything about this dress, the colour and the lace and its just perfect, I'm going to shorten it slightly and take in the waist and it will fit me perfectly !

This blouse reminds me of Abba, and I love Abba. I love the pattern its really interesting. My mom says that its probably from the seventies because of the shape of the collar, I have to say that I agree with her. I like that its unusual, and as I said above its not like an average shirt collar, it makes it a bit more interesting, although the pattern alone is lovely.

The pattern on the white and blue shirt is so pretty, it makes me think of birds although its not actually birds. Again, I love the collar, its frilly, and I like that it has a tie. There is one thing I don't like, it has no buttons so that is why it has to be tied, when I tie it up it leaves a huge gap which allows for you to be able to put your head through the collar when you put it on, and it shows all my cleavage which I don't like but its pretty easy to clip it together with a brooch. I wore this the other day when I went shopping with my mom, I came back and took some photos for lookbook so here is my look.

This blouse looks checkered here but its actually got a really nice blue and white dogtooth print, and down the sides there is a black strip. Why I didn't take a photo of these I don't know, but this blouse looks quite boring without them but I assure you its quite lovely, although I think it might be the one I like the least out of the collection I've acquired.

Finally, I seemed to of missed the middle one out, this is one of my favorites because of the colour and style; it reminds me of victorian style dresses and blouses, its really romantic. I love that it buttons up on the side rather than the middle and the frill is also really lovely and I like that it doesnt just end at the collar it continues down the front of the blouse. The only thing I don't like about this blouse is that its quite see though, but its not supposed to be, I defiantly wouldn't be able to wear a black bra with it.

I also wore this the other day, I did take a photo of the outfit but I didn't think it would be very good for lookbook, its more of an artsy kind of photo, I'll post it here anyway and you can tell me if you think I should upload it!

I've started using my old camera as well as my new one, Its just a 4 mega pixel digital kodak one. I've been really interested in photos which look really old recently although I don't have the money to persue it, I think the ones on flickr are done by film cameras and I don't have the money to constantly do that so I was very happy when I found that if my old camera had loads of dust on the lens i would get the same effect! The other day I went to Malvern to see a vintage and classic car show. I don't really like cars but I like old vintage ones, along with all other old vintage things. My dad however is obsessed with cars, he has worked in the car industry all his life and turns into a complete car nerd when surrounded by old MG's, Rovers and Landrovers and whatever other old British cars happened to be at this show.

I got quite excited when I saw all the mini's lined up in a row, unfortunately I don't have a good enough picture so here's a picture of the one on the end. I kept asking my mom if I could have one but she wont budge, she says there dangerous, which I suppose they are but seriously look at them, possibly the cutest cars on earth. Me and my friend ellie always walk past one on our way back from college everyday, I think its either navy and the roof has the union jack on it or its black a white roof, I can't quite remember, but one day me and ellie will go up to the house its parked at, knock on the door and buy it! Well, we wont, but we like to think we will, and in our dream of owning a mini we will share it, although, we're not quite sure how thats going to work out considering she lives around a 20-30 minute walk from my house.

I have to say though, me and my mom were far more interested in the Antiques Fair that was going on in the next field. We were even lucky enough to watch Paul Hayes and his film crew film 'Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is' which is a program on the BBC where antiques experts buy antiques cheaply and compete against each other to make a profit. At this point my mom got all excited and wanted to go talk to him, so we followed him around for a while, then bought an icecream, sat down and watched them film the show. So you never know I might be on TV in the background haha. We thought after we got home we should of had our photos taken with him, but of course us clever ones didn't think of that at the time did we.

Earlier my mom went up the loft to put some things away and came back down with a box full of really old jewelry, my grandma said some of it belonged to my great nan, and the rest is just stuff we've collected from charity shops, so I thought I'd show you all.

I've got no idea if there even worth anything but even if they aren't there all so pretty !

Finally I thought I might tell you what I'm doing today, well this photo is pretty self explanatory, I'm distressing jeans whilst drinking cups of tea, which I find is quite enjoyable. Tea makes the world go round.

IF I WERE TO GO TO THE SALES....

Firstly I want to apologize if the images are always all over the page and in the wrong place, I have a really wide screen and it doesn't even look right on here, so I've checked on other computers and it looks terrible and on other it looks perfect, so I'm not sure how to get it right really because the edit box + preview box is completely a different size and shape to the actual page when I post it.. Which doesn't help. But anyway onto more interesting stuff..

If I am not terribly mistaken, it seems the sales might be ending soon and there are further reductions everywhere so everything seems to be going dirt cheap ! As I haven't actually taken new photos of the things I've bought over the past few weeks (my room is a mess its like trying to cross a war zone, I fall over my own feet when I go in there) I'm going to post some links to the reduced stuff that I really like and recommend. I was going to do this in my last post but it turned out to be very long and I thought you might all fall asleep reading it.

I was looking through the topshop sale and nothing really seemed to be catching my eye until i found these jeans, which i've seen before many times but never actually seen anyone wearing them outside topshop. I think there a great statement peice yet at the same time there not so in your face because there gray rather than bright floral colours.
Texas Floral Skinny Jean - Topshop - £20

I couldn't find anything else from the Topshop sale that I liked so I moved onto Urban Outfitters and this is what I found. I'm really into the pastel vintage-like prints so I really liked this oversized shirt, also at the back it has a kinda draw string which i think shows off a figure so you get the best of both worlds, from the front your wearing something oversized and baggy and at the back, its long and quite baggy but nipped in at the waist.

Free People Borrowed B oyfriend Shirt - Urban Outfitters - £19.99

I also love the Metallica tee, mainly because i love band tees and although I don't listen to Metallica i guess i do kind of listen to similar bands, but don't quote me on that as i've only heard a few of their songs. I think this top goes with loads of things, you can wear it with a pretty puffball skirt, ripped tights and doc martens or you could wear it with jeans and it'd still look really cool. You could even wear it under a strapless dress or one of those bralets to make it a little less "Omg, yes, I'm only wearing a bralet! LOOK AT MY BREASTS" although that doesn't really counts with the none-see through ones aha.

From New Look I found two more desirable items both of which are quite cheap..

I still really like khaki, and these kind of tapered trousers because there very flattering and go with loads of things, as long as its nothing blue. Blue and green should never be seen but the world will end if you put khaki and blue together in my opinion.

I also really like the cropped floral blouse, the colours are really nice and it looks very flattering although it may only suit those with a smaller waist, but if not it could always be hidden with highwaisted trousers or shorts, such as the chino trousers above I think they would go well together !

Miss Selfridge is definately the place to find beautiful dresses in my opinion. Looking at the sale I think I've fallen in love, there are so many beautiful dresses to choose from but here are some of my favorites.

This dress is amazing, a lovely colour, the textures are really nice and I love how they've added some detail with the buttons and the lace for sleeves!

I love the detail across the chest on this one, also the silkyness of the fabric is really nice I think it a bit like the underwear as outerwear thing but instead its nightwear as party wear or something like that, some stores have started selling nightgown-like dresses and i think this looks like its made from the same material yet at the same time its definitely not a night gown!

Cream Embellished Drop Waist Dress - Miss Selfridge - £20

Finally, seeing as I have to go to work now I've found one last amazing thing I want to show you. This floral blouse is also from Miss Selfridge, they have a lot of cute vintage style clothes which don't actually look vintage but definitely show that they've looked to the past for some inspiration and this is one of them. Its like the floral blouses I bought from the charity shop which I showed in my previous post. If you can't find one in your charity shops then this one would be nice instead as its only a tiny bit more than something you would find in a charity shop.

RIPPED, BLEACHED, OLD & DENIM ?!

I was going to go to Birmingham today to look through the Urban Outfitters and Topshop sale, but then I thought, since when do I shop at highstreet stores anymore? I never buy anything so whats the point, I can always look at the sale online anyway. So instead I went to the charity shops which I have now got down to a fine art. I managed to fit two 30 minute bus rides and 7 charity shops into two hours, I think I have it down to a fine art. Also seeing as I've finished college for the year I always go shopping on a Tuesday, there's not too many people around that I'm tripping over them so its a good day to go (now I've said this everyone's going to go shopping on a Tuesday and we'll all be walking around like peas in a pod)

I know I've promised to do lots of tutorials, such as the skirt tutorial and my hair tutorial however things have come up recently that meant I was a bit busy, even if I have left college. Firstly I've been going on a course to learn how to pattern draft, and for those of you who don't know what that is its learning how to draw the individual panels/ pieces that eventually when you sew them all together they make a piece of clothing. Its something that's faded away in this country because most pattern drafting has been moved to china, or at least the actual manufacturing has. There aren't many pattern drafters left in England so its good to learn, I have to travel miles for the class though, and its been canceled now because only 5 people in the area want to learn. I've made things without patterns before by working out the pattern pieces from my measurements (such as the frilly waistcoat and the silver dress i put on lookbook) but i wasn't using the correct equipment. When I've got enough practice I'm sure you'll see some things I've made correctly from scratch without even using a commercial pattern.

Also another reason why I've been busy, well.. thing is, I can't tell anyone! However its good news, it seems everyone really likes my blog, lookbook and tumblr because it seems to be getting me a bit of publicity, and thats why I've been busy. Don't worry you'll all find out in august. Also unfortunately I missed out on the chance to model for a girl at Birmingham University studying Fashion Communication because my mom wasn't happy with the arrangements, but ah well I'm sure other opportunity will come along, I don't really feel like being a model if I'm honest. Also I just found an email which was giving me an internship to become a blogger at a fashion website but I missed the date to reply before, hopefully these opportunities will come along again, if anyone's interested I'm happy to do interviews via email as long as you can prove your genuine. So finally, I might actually start posting some photos of things I've bought over the past two weeks. Yes earlier, I could be seen standing on the edge of my bed, wobbling, with a camera pointed at my new purchases which were lay on the floor on top of some pretty fabric I've got, so here we go.

Firstly I seem to of acquired a large variety of highwaisted shorts, most of which aren't my size but I can change half of them on the sewing machine, the size 12's upwards will probably go on ebay.

I found all these shorts in one charity shop, they had a bin/ basket full of mens and womens shorts and I thought to myself oh my god I must buy them all, so I did. The frayed blue denim ones fit me perfectly although the waist is a bit large. It says they are a size 10 but I think that they are a vintage size, so probably an 8-10. There smaller than my 28W Levis and I think I prefer them because the legs are longer yet more flattering than my Levis and the waist is higher which I like, also I really love the frayed detail at the bottom of the shorts.

I've been searching for some black denim shorts for ages now and the ones with the four silver buttons on are perfect, although I might have to change the buttons to gold. I've got some gold studds which I'm going to put on them, then maybe rip the edges a bit so its either going to look amazing or tacky.
These blue and white, and black and white striped shorts are identical apart from the colours, I really like them because there quite individual and the only person who I've seen who seems to have a similar if not better pair is Heather R from Lookbook.nu, who if anyone was wondering is my favorite lookbooker. They remind me of mens golfing shorts which makes me wonder if maybe they actually are seeing as I got them out of a box of mixed shorts. Although I can't really see any men wearing highwaisted shortshorts myself and if I did I'm sure it would be the highlight of my day.

The last pair I've had to lighten on photoshop so you can actually see them, it looks like there glowing haha! Anyway I don't normally like dark jeans unless there black but these are a lovely rich dark blue/ navy colour, not the sort of half hearted almost wants to be light blue kind of dark jeans. There also a really lovely shape, I think there a size 12-14 so I don't think I'll be able to edit the size on them unfortunately because there a lovely pair which would definitely show off some curves.

I also have some khaki highwaisted shorts and if you've read my previous posts you'll understand how much I'm loving khaki at the moment. They are almost identical to the ones which urban outfitters are selling for around £30, funny I got mine for £1! They definitely need a bit of alteration on the size but there so amazing. Unfortunately I've forgotten to take a picture of them, I'm not sure why because I think they were all in the pile while i was taking all these pictures. Maybe they've gone walkabouts.

I'm really into floral blouses at the moment, a lot of people don't like this trend because everyone seems to wear it but who cares its so pretty who wouldn't want to wear it?! and if I'm honest, nice floral blouses seem very difficult to find, floral dresses are easy as pie but finding a nice blouse in a nice fabric with a good print is quite difficult.

These are the two which I have managed to find, the creamy greenish pastely coloured blouse is made of a very thin corduroy type of fabric, making it quite thick but not so thick that it feels like a denim blouse. I really love the reddish-peach colour of the flowers against the light lime green, its not the sort of colour scheme you would normally think to put together but here it works really well.

The next top is quite big, its a size 14 and I can only normally pull off up to a size 12 but I fell so in love with this blouse when I saw it! Its not made from any man made fabrics! Its a love crisp cotton thats slightly crunchy yet soft in your hands and the print is beautiful. When I brought it home my mom told me that the flowers were actually some type of poppy which my moms growing in the garden. I'm so glad the people who designed this shirt chose to use blue and purple because I think red would of been too shocking. The colours are very vibrant and intense but they work so well together its such a gorgeous blouse, I love it, I'm going to sleep with it under my pillow!

These blouses/ shirts aren't floral however they are both gorgeous. I especially love the denim one which is just like any old oversized denim shirt but its the embroidery across the chest which really makes it stand out and give it quite a unique look. Its long enough for me to wear as a short dress or a tunic with leggings, but I can also just tuck it into some shorts and it'll look great too so its quite a versatile item to have in your wardrobe.

This second blouse is made of chiffon, its quite unusual and as you can see doesn't photograph very well however when you see it normally its very beautiful. It has so much detail on it, the pictures of the women are on the front and back and each one is different and then I also love the spots! Once again its too big for me but I can wear it as a dress, its a size 18! I'm not too fond of the colours because I don't really own anything in that kind of blue but I still love this shirt.

I never really go shopping for bags however the past few weeks I just cant seem to avoid them! (Im not complaining) I sometimes find it a bit silly that I look at old grannys with their tapestry bags and almost want to say to them "Oh wow I love your bag" but ah well, I don't care, I now have two which I'm very proud of. There were loads at the Birmingham Vintage Fair and they were all about £20 but I got my blue tapestry bag for £1 and the brownish neutral coloured one for £3.50 and there both gorgeous!

I also love this rich reddy-pinky-purple coloured bag, its actually wooden but covered in leather with a beautiful floral pattern, it was £1.50. Its not always practical but if you've only got a few things to put in it, things that wont bang around and make a racket when you walk its perfect. The shape is lovely, its like an upside down heart! I also love how it closes, its like a sliding clasp kind of thing, I can't think of how to explain it but its more like how you would close a cuboard door than how you would close a bag.

If you've been keeping up with my lookbook and tumblr you may of noticed I've started wearing my hair up quite regually, and when I do this sometimes I like to wear scarfs around my head too, so these are some which I've bought, I have two more but I think they've also gone walkabouts along with my khaki shorts, its nice to know there making friends.

My favroite is probably the colours from the floral vintage scarf there really bright yet there not primary colours which i like.

I know you can't really see but the black scarf has multicolored hearts printed onto it which is really nice although you have to be really close up to notice them. Its quite cute although I avoid wearing it when I don't have anything else thats black on because it looks a bit silly.

I also really love this 80's looking scarf which is a square, I've tied it up to look a bit like a scout neckerchief, i love the pattern because its not something that would ever be printed these days.

Almost finally, why would I buy winter clothing at the hottest point of the year? Well.. I can always keep it until winter and then wear it then. I just couldn't resist this fur coat and jumper. My wardrobe is starting to look like the one out of the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, I'm starting to get a collection of huge fur coats. You may think "What, Kayla approves of real fur coats?!" and my answer is yes and no; Two of them were inherited, one was my great great great nans, its 150 years old rabbit fur, the other is 50 years old and it was my great nans, passed to my great auntie and she gave it to me when my great nan passed away in February. I think the one I bought the other day is around 30-50 years old because it feels almost the same as the old one where you can feel how the skin has hardened over time. I only buy vintage fur, that way I'm not contributing to the fur trade at all. I would also never buy a fur coat from a vintage shop because we all know that MOST of the stuff isn't actually real vintage clothes, there just made up cheaply from old vintage patterns! Therefore how do I know that a fur coat from a vintage store hasn't actually been made in the last months? apart from the feel of the coat and how much hair is still on it. I would NEVER buy new fur products because I believe its cruel, I'm a huge animal lover but I believe that fur coats are justified by the fact that years ago we didn't have the technology's to create warm clothes. The older the coat the better because then I feel like it was done for a more worthwhile thing, these days we have the technology to make warm clothes without killing innocent animals but back in the Victorian times (which was when one of my coats was made) how would an old lady of kept warm during the harsh winters?

I was a bit reluctant to buy the fur coat I got the other day, I wish I could definately say that it was 50 or more years old, but I doubt it is meaning that the poor minks that were used to make it probably died for pure vanity. Its so rich in colour that I think it was probably made within the last 50-30 years, but its definitely not new. I bought it at a car boot sale for £5 The man who was selling it had three of them and he also had boxes of vintage sewing kits and all sorts of things that you would find in an old womans house. I think he was a house clearer, the sort of peoples who are asked to clear peoples houses when they've passed away and takes all there possessions because sometimes old people don't have big family's to do that for them like my great nan did. Either all these items belonged to his mother or he was a house clearer selling all the items he found in an old womans house, I don't know if thats a good respectful thing to do or not but I suppose there allowed to do what they want with the items they find. So yes, that is the story behind my fur coat, and here it is. The sun was shining in through the windows, I should of closed the curtains.. Its black, I don't think I've ever seen a black mink fur coat and its beautiful !

Finally, I also found this gorgeous jumper at the same car boot sale, I love the 80's print it has and its a lovely texture almost like mohair but not as intense. Its made from scottish sheep wool which the lady at the stall told me very pointedly as if i should pay more than £2 for it haha.

Finally I'll show you my recent DIY venture, ripping and bleaching jeans into shorts. Here they are, I really love them, I've made black ones too but they too have also gone walkabouts with my khaki shorts and red scarf. Once I've finished the skirt tutorial I'm thinking I might do a tutorial for these lovely shorts which everyone seemed so interested in on lookbook. and YES i am still in the process of writing up the skirt tutorial, its still set as a draft at the moment. Sorry guys, I have loads of requests for tutorials at the moment haha.

Also I was wondering is there anything else that people would like to see on my blog? apart from the tutorials im writing which WILL appear, one day!

As you know I'm putting stuff on ebay, I'm in the process of washing everything at the moment and I'm washing all similar colours together, so its going to take a few washes to get everything done seeing as I seemed to of picked a rainbow of clothes. I currently have one thing listed, however its not one of my items of clothing, it was my moms, and this ebay account is also my moms but anyway here it is link seeing as you've all been asking for it.

Anyway I was wondering what peoples opinions were on the elasticated skirts that they used to sell in the urban renewal section of urban outfitters? with the gold buttons on? I was thinking of making some myself and putting them on ebay. They don't sell them anymore but there about £15 at vintage stores and I've got some vintage looking fabric and was thinking of selling them from £8-£10 on ebay.

Also finally I WILL be putting these beautys on ebay too! Bidding will start at £30 and I will be posting them worldwide however I would like to post one more look on lookbook with them on just so they gain more interest, plus im slightly attached to them haha. Postage worldwide is £10, the are extremely heavy! Well... 800g

All my items will be available for postage world wide however postage could be quite expensive.

Alot of you have been asking and yes I will be selling a lot of my clothes on ebay. You should see how big my chairdrobe has got (seeing as my wardrobes are both full) if anyone has any particular requests that they'd like to see on ebay then please comment either on lookbook or if you don't have LB you can comment here, on tumblr, twitter, whatever (: I always check to see if i have new comments.

Starting bids will probably range from £5-£20 as I'm trying to get the money back from what I've spent on the clothes originally, I might not even make a profit, it depends on how high the bidding goes.

I haven't put anything on ebay yet, but when I do I'll make sure I post a link on my lookbook!

I'VE BEEN BUSY, BUT I'M BACK

Its been ages since I posted, I say that every time I know but ah well. I like to write a nice long post rather than posting loads of pictures because really you can see them all on my lookbook and tumblr anyway so there's no point of me reposing them here. Anyway, since I've been away I've been on holiday to wales and bought lots of new clothes, I've also finished college so now I'll really be able to get round to actually doing stuff like shopping, making clothes and maybe even updating my blog once in a while!
It seems I've become a personal shopper on formspring. One person asked me what i would recommend from a certain store/ stores with a certain amount of money. So I looked around the shops online for items of clothing which I would recommend which fitted in with their requirements and i came up with some outfits. Everyone else seemed to think it was a good idea and also started asking me what I recommend, especially on a budget. If I'm honest, I really enjoy stuff like this, its fun and I love shopping for other people so if anyone ever wants some help I'm here unless I'm busy with college work. Also I thought it'd be fun to put down a few of my recommendations here in my blog.. so here goes.
For a few days I've been thinking about maxi dresses. I hated them when they came out but for some reason I've become rather fond of them, not that I have any, I think I'm too young? A 5ft 3 petite 17 year old should really be wearing a floor length dress should they. Either way, your the one reading this and you might not be a 5ft 3 17 year old, so I thought I would mention a few maxi dresses that I've found online that I like.

This sheer dress is really nice, Its from Topshop. I like how it covers the whole body yet its still see through, you could wear a really sparkly body con dress underneath or just a bikini or swimming costume, or maybe some distressed denim shorts with a white bikini top? I however wouldn't be able to do this because I live in the middle of England and although I am surrounded by water it takes about 2-3 hours to get there and the temperature never really exceeds 20ºC however if you live in a hot country, I'm sure this would be lovely.

I also really love this dress from Urban Outfitters, although it is a little expensive but look how cute it is! I think it would go really well with these lace cream and pink tights from Topshop,
although I think some people might find that a bit too much cream? If it is, and its a cold day i'd say wear some thick cotton tights in either brown or khaki, black would go well too if your going for a bolder look..
I also really love these sandals, there from Schuh. I think they'd go really well with anything neutral, although they are new the leather looks worn and vintage, without looking as if it may fall apart. Also the style of the buckles aren't very in your face gold, which I like, and finally, they don't look like your average strappy gladiator shoe, there nice and simple but still look quite cool.

This bag is so cute! I saw it whilst I was out shopping in Birmingham, its also from Urban Outfitters. It looks a little like an old mini vintage camera bag, you cant squeeze anything into it because its more like a box than a bag. It's also very small, you'd probably only be able to fit your phone, headphones, purse, lipstick and bus pass in there, but I'd say it would be worth it.

Seeing as its been a month since I've posted, I've made quite a lot of new purchases, all of which were quite cheap, one of my most recent items was this vintage black and red bomber jacket which I got from the charity shop where I work. I've only worn it out once because as soon as i bought it england decided to become unusually hot. I'm going to continue to buy lots of coats and warm things in the hope it will encourage the sun to come out, just so i cant wear them. Theres always winter...

I've been looking for some jeans like these for ages! They are truly amazing, I can't believe I found them, it was like love at first sight. There not levi 501's there actually calvin klein so quite a good find! They also fit me as there a UK size 6 (I am unusually shaped)

I also bought this lovely silky blouse from the charity shop where I work, its really nice and I can wear it with leggings and a belt too because its quite long. Its really easy to make it look nautical by putting it with something blue or red, thats why I teamed it with the blue suspenders which are also from the chairty shop. I love the buttons detail and the fact that there on either side of the collar, it makes it stand out from the average blouse.

When I'm feeling lazy, or I havent got much time I find it easy to put on a pair of leggings, an oversized vintage mans shirt and a belt, like this outfit here. Everything but the leggings are from a charity shop, I'm not even embarrassed to look through the mens clothes anymore, I love them, and I have loads of these shirts because there so simple and easy to wear with things.

of been a charity shop. I love it, it was great to wear during the hot days that
we had last week because it shows my tummy, and its lovely and floral too and
goes so well with acid wash jeans!

The colour version of this picture was deleted off lookbook because it wasn't head to knees, but ah well. The blouse, once again, I got from a charity shop. I love the pattern, it makes me look like a cow girl which is a bit strange but I like to look a bit unusual occasionally.

Finally this is my last look which I took on holiday in my room with the pretty wallpaper. I bought this dress, no, not at a charity shop! In fact this dress is from New Look. I'd seen it in there quite a few times but always thought it wasn't nice enough for me to pay £25 for it, however in Wales it seems that the country as a whole are a year behind in fashion and so they had all the most amazing things in the sale, rather than the crap stuff, so I stocked up on a lot of highstreet clothes there. No offense to any fashion conscious people in wales, I'm sure there are quite a few individuals there who are very fashionable, its just what I've noticed over the past few years of visiting.

I made this skirt the other day and took some pictures while I did it, its very simple, if you want to make a quick and easy skirt then this is definitely one for you, its very like the skirts which they sell in Urban Outfitters under the Urban Renewal section, you can also find them in almost any vintage shop. The only thing bad about them is the price tag so this is a cheap option! You can customize it with gold buttons, lace, whatever you want. You wont even need a pattern! I'll be posting this up in a few days so keep looking!

I said about a month ago that I would make a video showing everyone how i do my hair, so I did but it was 20 mins long and I couldn't edit it on my phone. So then I tried editing it on the computer and it didn't recognize the file. So yesterday I recorded another one, edited it and everything but now the computer wont read my phone card so I can't get it from my phone onto my computer so I don't really know what I'm gonna do about that.... sorry guys I'll try and get it working
